Exercising is very important for your body and is very beneficial for back pain; however, you have to choose the right exercise so you don’t inflict further pain. One of the best exercises you can do for your back is stretching. Here are some stretches you can do to help relieve your back pain:
- Child’s pose: The child’s pose helps to stretch out your spine and improves your spine’s flexibility. To do the child’s pose, start on all fours then sit back on your heels and stretch your arms forward.
- Pelvic tilt: Pelvic tilts help to strengthen your abdominal muscles which helps to improve your posture. To do a pelvic tilt, lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Tilt your pelvis toward your heels and hold for 10 seconds and then release.
- Seated twist: Seated twists help to improve the flexibility of your spine. To do a seated twist, sit cross-legged on the floor and twist your torso to the right and place your left hand on your right knee and hold for 10 seconds. Then repeat with the opposite side.
