This is the best place full of experts. I couldn’t have been happier to recommend. The doctor spends very valuable time with you going over the issues that you are currently facing and why and also brings a lot of options to the table as far as treatments. Amazing relief from pain right after the injections.

After years of suffering caused by a herniated disc, being a military firefighter who loves physical activity, I sought a solution from Dr Montesano. An extremely attentive, friendly and empathetic gentleman understood, due to my situation, my need to perform a disc replacement instead of a disc fusion. I underwent medical evaluations, carried out the necessary exams and on July 24, Dr Montesano and his team successfully performed the disc replacement (PRODISC L). I left the hospital the next day walking. In a few days I returned to Dr Montesano's office whose smile of happiness (unforgettable and unique) was no bigger than mine, not only because of the success of the surgery, but also because of the end of the pain. I'm back. swimming and I'm waiting for a while longer to get back to racing. I'm very well and have no pain or movement limitations. Oh!!! Don't be fooled by Dr Montesano's smile, he has a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Jokes aside, I would like to thank Dr Montesano and his office team for all the attention given during the pre-operative and post-operative process. God bless you and continue to bless the people in your care.Feedback after 6 months of surgery.Patient: A VilelaDOB: October 31, 1967.Age: 57 years oldHeight: 5.07Weight: 158 poundsSurgery: L5/S1 lumbar disc replacement (Prodisc L), July 25, 2024. Sarasota.Post-operative evolutionAfter the surgery carried out on July 25, 2024, recovery took place without major efforts until November 2024.Feeling good, wanting to run again, I made an action plan to run a 5K at a constant speed. I felt so good that I chose not to seek help from physiotherapists. To help with strengthening, I started using a weight vest which, together with the CamelBack, totals a load of around 19 pounds.Evolution- November 2024: Walk 5K to 6K (3.10 to 3.72 miles). Presenting pain in the T8 thoracic spine region during some training and in day-to-day occasions.- December 2024: walk and run 6k to 8k (3.72 to 4.97 miles), interleaving 5 minutes of walking with 5 minutes of running, 5 to 6 times a week. Presenting two episodes of mild pain in the L5 region during exercise, having stopped running and keeping walking. Also presenting moderate pain with discomfort in the region of the T8 thoracic spine on the right side for more than 10 times but not only during exercise but also in everyday life after physical exercise. There was no pain in the L5/S1 region.- January 2025: walk and run 6k to 10k (3.72 to 6.21), interleaving 5 minutes of walking with 10 minutes of running, 5 to 6 times a week. There was no pain in the T8 thoracic spine region during training, but during some daily activities such as getting in and out of a car several times a day, there is a lot of torsion. No physical activity in the last week this month due to a strain on my left calf. There was no pain in the L5/S1 region.- February 2, 2025: Street race, Publix Run and Arts 5K, held in the city of Fort Myers - FL, still wearing a 19 pounds load. Running performed at constant speed without any pain in the spine region as a whole. The journey took 31 minutes, and I felt a muscle strain in the calf of my left leg, which led me to walk the last 100 meters. There was no pain in the L5/S1 region. Mild discomfort in the right back at T8 at the end of the day.- March 2, 2025: Streat race, Megalodon Weekend 5k, held in the city of Venice – FL, without a weight vest. Running performed at constant speed without any pain. The jorney took 26:35:55. Without discomfort in the right back at T8. There was no pain in the L5/S1 region.- March 13, 2025: Keeping my focus on activities, today I ran 10K, 1:09:46 and during this activity I continue to use the 19 pound vest, never running less than 5K at least 3 times a week. Without any pain. It's as if I had never had pain in the lower back.- The photos are from the race held on February 2, 2025, March 2, 2025 and March 13, 2025.Thanking Montesano Spine & Sport again – Dr Pasquale X. I had suffered years. I had a botched double fusion in my cervical spine from a previous surgeon in Tampa. I had met with 15 different surgeons and no one could fix the botched surgery until I met Dr. Montesaro Cervical Spine In Sarasota. 🙏❤️. I am about 10 months after surgery and I am completely a different person. I am my old self again I am happy I am strong. I am on zero pain medication. I feel great. I feel like my old self again and if it wasn’t for Dr. Montesaro Cervical Spine about me, my mental and physical health and pain, the knowledge and skill that he has he is a saint! He is an angel he saved me, and he will save you too. James, the nurse at the office, is a wonderful person. He makes you feel so welcome and is so kind and smart. The office is gorgeous and comfy and every single visit was a wonderful experience. I can’t thank Dr. Montesano enough. I thank God for him.
