Summer is a great time to get together with some friends and go outside and enjoy the nice weather whether it be you go hiking, swimming, or biking. You have to be careful what you’re doing though so you don’t cause any back pain. Here are some tips for preventing back pain this summer:
- Take breaks: You’re going to be doing a lot of activities throughout the day so it’s important that you take a break in between activities so that your back can relax for a little bit.
- Maintain a good posture: Summer is a great time for doing some landscaping and gardening, but those things require bending down and creates poor posture. Maintaining a good posture while doing these things helps to prevent pain and/or injury.
- Take it slow: Don’t try to jump right into an activity. For example, if you’re going hiking, you’re going to want to stretch your body so that your body is ready for the amount of movement required for hiking.
