A disk is a bone in your spine that sits between your vertebrae. A herniated disk occurs the most in the lower back. Here is a list of symptoms of a herniated disk:

  • Arm or leg pain: If the herniated disk is in your back, you may feel back pain, thigh and calf pain, and foot pain. If you have a herniated disk in your neck, you may feel pain in your arm and shoulder.
  • Weakness: Herniated disks weaken your muscles which can weaken your ability to lift things.
  • Numbness or tingling- Herniated disks can affect the nearby area by causing tingling or numbing in the muscles.

If you experience any of these systems, contact Montesano Spine and Sport today.
