There are many activities you can do to exercise in the winter such as ice skating, skiing, snowshoeing, yoga, and so much more. However, some of these activities can cause back pain. Here are some winter activities that you can do that won’t cause back pain:

  • Snowshoeing: Snowshoeing is a great way to get outside to enjoy the winter weather and exercise your legs. Snowshoeing also helps to minimize stress on your back. 
  • Water aerobics: Water aerobics is not only fun, but helps to relieve pressure on your back and reduces stress on your joints. Your local gym may have regular water aerobics lessons that you can take throughout the winter.
  • Pilates: Pilates are a great indoor exercise you can do to strengthen your back muscles. Pilates also helps to strengthen your core which helps to improve your posture.
