Summer activities that won’t hurt your spine

Summer comes packed with so many fun activities for you to do, but some of these activities may cause back pain, especially if you already have back pain. Fortunately, there are lots of activities you can do that won’t cause back pain:

  • Kayaking: Kayaking is a popular activity in the summer. If you go kayaking, maintain a good posture and make sure your back is supported. Also take breaks from time to time to let your body rest.
  • Jumping on trampolines: Jumping on trampolines are a great way to have some fun and get some exercise; however, they can cause back and neck pain. To avoid pain, land on both your feet and bend your knees to help absorb the shock of the jump. This helps to reduce the stress on your spine.
  • Hiking: Going for a hike is a great way to get some fresh air and exercise. Before you go for a hike, make sure you stretch.
