Spine surgery is a big procedure and you need to be well prepared for it. Here are some things you should do before spine surgery:

  • Preoperative checkup: It’s important that you get a preoperative checkup to ensure that you’re physically prepared for the surgery
  • Prepare your home: Put frequently used items in places that will be most convenient for you during the recovery process. Make sure you also create a comfy place on your couch or bed for you to rest.
  • Dietary restrictions: Follow any dietary guidelines given to you such as no solid foods or clear liquids.
