Why Repetitive Motion Puts Strain On Your Spine

If your everyday activities include repetitive motions, try to change it a bit so you don’t put strain on your back. There are many reasons why repetitive motion puts strain on your spine. Here are a few:

  • Overuse of muscles: Performing the same motion repeatedly can lead to overuse of muscles which can then lead to muscle strain. Over time this can lead to a negative impact on your spinal stability and alignment.
  • Poor posture: If you slouch repeatedly it will lead to poor posture. Poor posture can then lead to strain on your spine and cause pain.
  • Lack of rest: When you engage in repetitive motions without resting, your muscles will become weak and won’t have enough time to repair and recover. This can lead to inflammation in your spine which can cause chronic pain and spinal issues.
