Myofascial pain syndrome is a chronic condition that causes pain in the musculoskeletal system. The pain usually tends to be in a certain area of your body which could be your neck, shoulders, or back. The pain is typically around trigger points in your muscles. Some of the symptoms of myofascial pain syndrome are muscle stiffness, fatigue, and headaches. This can be diagnosed through a physical test or imaging and diagnostic tests. There are lots of treatments for myofascial pain syndrome such as electrical stimulation and massages.
