Diving and Spinal Cord Injuries

“Never dive in shallow water” is a swimmer’s staple but when children or teens (or even adults) are in the pool goofing off and having fun, there’s always a chance someone may dive in without thinking and strike their head on the pool’s bottom. The angle and force of impact could lead to neck or spinal cord injuries.

Safety should always come first but when an accident does happen, it’s important to have your neck or spine inspected for potential injuries. Minor pain now could lead to debilitating pain later if left untreated.

If you or your child have recently been injured in a diving accident, please schedule a consultation as soon as possible.

Call (941) 402-4003 to schedule a consultation.
