Dealing with sciatica can be challenging, especially when working in an environment where productivity and comfort are extremely important. Here are some tips for managing sciatica when at work:

  • Regular Breaks: Taking regular breaks can help to prevent stiffness and relieve pain. Try to stand up and stretch every 30 to 60 minutes. This can help to reduce pressure on the sciatic nerve.
  • Ergonomic Adjustments: There are some ergonomic adjustments you can make at work to help relieve your pain. You could get a chair with proper lumbar support to maintain proper posture.
  • Desk Exercises: If you have to stay at your desk for long periods of time, you can do some exercises at your desk to relieve pain. You could try doing some seated leg raises. Extend each leg out straight and hold for a few seconds to stretch your thighs and relieve tension.
