Let Your Spine Rest When You’re Sleeping

Letting your spine rest is extremely important. Sometimes laying down at night is one of the only times your spine gets to rest. The way you lay, the mattress you lay on, and the pillow you use all come into play on how much rest your spine receives. The best mattress to use is a medium-firm mattress because it will support your spine. A softer mattress will allow your spine to sag which will cause back pain. A good way to keep your spine aligned is to put a pillow between your knees. Doing this will also help to reduce the stress on your back. If you believe you’re having back problems due to how you sleep, try talking to your doctor about a position you should sleep in and invest in a new mattress that will support your back and neck.
