Your back is a very important part of your body so it’s important that you take care of it and protect it. Here are some tips for protecting your lower back:

  • Lift properly: It is best to avoid lifting heavy objects, but in the event you need to it’s important that you do so in a way that won’t hurt your back. When you lift something, keep your knees bent and hold the object close to your chest.
  • Strengthen your muscles: Strengthening your back muscles will help protect your back from injury.
  • Maintain your overall health: Maintaining your overall health is extremely important for your back. If you gain a lot of weight, that could put pressure on your back and cause pain. You should avoid smoking because that will have a big toll on your spine.
